COMPANY | E takes its BROADWAY BOUND magic to Montevideo for a remarkable two-part, two-year engagement with the art and artists of Uruguay.
In May of 2015 the Company was invited by the U.S.Embassy Montevideo to stage a full-evening Broadway Revue - Company | E's signature program, BROADWAY BOUND, on 150 young Uruguayan artists. The program, with choir, orchestra, singers from Uruguay and five American Company | E artists, played to sold-out houses at the SODRE National Theater.
Then, in March 2016 the Directors of Company | E and of our partner organization, ICAHSI, headed by BROADWAY BOUND co-director Amikaeyla Gaston, touched down a second time in Montevideo for a week-long capacity building workshop for many of those same artists. The goal: to create a toolkit for them to make their own Broadway magic.
