TARA ASHLEY COMPTON | DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION

Tara Ashley Compton Tara Ashley Compton is a native of Louisville, Ky. After dancing through elementary and high school, Tara moved to Tampa, FL where she received a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of South Florida. Tara has choreographed and performed with multiple dance companies around the world, including residencies and debuts in Paris, New York City, Kazakhstan, Spain, Los Angeles, among others.

She is currently serving as the Director of Education for Company E.

A former faculty member at Towson University Community Dance Department she also serves as a judge at Dance Masters of America.

She Co-Founded the Company | E Movement Center at the Dance Loft on 14, serving as its Teen Program Director from 2015-2016.

Ms. Compton has traveled internationally through the US Department of State for the past five years teaching contemporary dance in countries such as Algeria, Spain, Kazakhstan, Palestine , Uruguay, Russia and more.

 

 


TAYLOR PASQUALE | INSTRUCTOR

Taylor Pasquale Taylor Pasquale began her training in Fairfax, Virginia at the Russell School of Ballet where she studied ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, pointe, and tap. She is currently working towards a BFA in dance at Geroge Mason University and will be graduating in 2017. Taylor has taught dance for over five years and also mentors a group of middle school aged students through a youth group. During her time studying dance at George Mason, Taylor has been researching how movement has the power to heal those affected by human trafficking by volunteering in non-profits and studying abroad in communities that offer art therapy to those who have been victim to exploitation. As she continues to pursue dance and art, she strives to create and be a part of a safe community where all are accepted and free to express themselves, heal, and grow together.


 

BREANNI WILLIAMS | INSTRUCTOR

Breani Williams Breani is a native of Queens, NY and holds a Master's Degree in Dance Education '15 and BA in Media and Communications Studies '14 both from University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). While at UMBC she danced with Hip Hop competitive dance teams, Major Definition, TWGMT and Capital Funk in the East Coast. She has choreographed and performed at dance competitions, showcases presenting her own choreography and teammates as well. She has trained in Hip Hop through Broadway Dance Center's internship program, workshops and conventions.

In addition to her career in performance and choreography Breani also teaches Hip Hop dance in the DMV area.
