WHAT IS GREAT ART WORTH?

Company E's work in performance, dance and cross-cultural education, film and interdisciplinary art bridges boundaries across national, international and local boundaries. The work we do is always vital and often unique. From programs in countries where relations are strained -- like Russia -- to emerging nations where the thirst for art, and for an understanding of the U.S. is rich -- like Kazakhstan, to the work we do right here at home in the District of Columbia, the Company seeks to make a difference in the many lives we touch.

Fundamentally, we do this with a single over-riding commitment -- to salary our artists. We are dedicated to creating a Company where our dancers and artists earn a living wage, where they work 52 weeks a year, where they have health insurance and paid vacation. Those goals are only partly met, but we will never stop trying to bring them to reality.

These are the things your support can help make possible. And, as with all things in art, and in the world in which we live today, we can only get there together. Art can, and must, make a difference in our world. Your support is essential to that mission.
