COMPANY | E CINÉ

Company | E, through its Ciné film group, has been crafting its works for the camera since 2003, creating films made specifially for film and adaptations of those created originally for the stage.

The Company's work in film has garnered praise from the press ("An art is born" - the Washington Times) and won the DC Mayor's Arts Award for Innovation in the Arts.  Ciné makes original works for the camera, documentaries of both our travels and the creative process, music videos centered on the musical artists we work regularly with and other experimental work.

ORIGINAL FILMS

FROM THE ROAD

The stories of our journeys can be both fascinating and mysterious. The work is never the same in any two countries, yet the ideas of how to convey what that work is about can be hard to convey in words. So we take the cameras along to share our stories from the far reaches of the world.

IN THE ROOM - MAKING OF

How we create our dances, how we stage them, and often how we work with some of the world's great artists to re-stage them, is a key part of the journey of Companyt | E. Our microdocs can be short snapshots, or they can be multi-part dee-dives into the creative process.

Music is also a part of who we are, as is the need to use film to promote the Company. Here's a sampling of our music videos and trailers.
