COMPANY | E returns to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for its fourth evening-length commission since 2017 with "VOYAGERS: A DANCE AMONG THE PLANETS." Commissioned by the Center's Theater for Young Audiences, "VOYAGERS" is a new take on a classic- Gustav Holst's "The Planets." Reimagined by Kennedy Center Composer in Residence Eric Shimelonis as a score for five jazz instruments, and performed live by the musicians, the music is a gateway to a young astronomer's journey through the Solar System in search of her missing family. With images and video from NASA, choreography from a remarkable suite of artists and dancing from the dancers of Copmpany | E, "VOYAGERS" takes the stage in March, 2019 at the Kennedy Center Family Theater for a 10 show run.
