"The Company | E Summer Intensive is about giving our participants more than just class for the sake of class. It's about how that technique folds into the idea of a repertory company which travels the world. Our workshops with leaders in Government and the Arts bring one-of-a-kind insights about both the state of the world and the state of the arts today."
-- Kathryn Sydell Pilkington, Intensive Director and Company | E Co-Artistic Director
The 2020 Intensive is Directed by Company | E Co-Artistic Director Kathryn Sydell Pilkington. Ms. Pilkington is joined by senior members of the Repertory Company for in-depth, intense technique training -- the training the Company uses to prepare for the diverse repertory from around the globe that is the centerpiece of every Company | E concert.

A SITE-SPECIFIC and VIRTUAL performance created in support of the One World 2020 Festival.
How does Company | E make its art? The 2020 Intensive includes the creation of a site-specific work, made by Company | E's artists on the Intensive's students.
Built around the writings and stories of refugee populations around the world, "On The Ground" asks human and political questions for the day-long refugee awareness event at the Cathedral.
As a partner with both the United States Department of State and with many of the Diplomatic Missions to the United States -- the Embassies -- in Washington, DC, Company | E has made international engagement, and the use of art to create dialogue, confront hard questions and break down barriers since its founding. As a part of the 2020 Summer Intensive invited guests from State and those missions join us for conversations about art, international engagement and the meaning and power of culture.
