Saturday November 18th 2023 is the date for the World Premiere by Swedish Choreographer Fredrik Quinones with the artists of Company | E at the House of Sweden in Washington, DC.
Quinones, making his DC debut, comes together with Company | E through the Company's ongoing relationship with the House of Sweden and the Embassy of Sweden. That partnership saw, in spring, the World Premiere of "Man in a Suitcase" by Lidia Wos.
For the House of Sweden premiere, Quinones, teaming with DJ Rush Davis, immerses the Audience and the Artists into a single experience, creating a work of art enfolded into a Club atmosphere.
DJ Rush Davis is a true multi-disciplinary artist from South Central Los Angeles. Estranged from his immediate family at 15; The House of Xtravaganza and Mustache Mondays nurtured and exposed a young Rush X to underground counterculture, which sculpted his identity on the decks, behind the mic, and revealed his ability to evoke the breath of life into his collaborators creative needs. This gift was affirmed and amplified through his mentorship with Doriana Sanchez (Cher, Cirque Du Soleil, SYTYCD) who eradicated his limitation through experience. He continues to serve artists in their development as creative director from album rollouts, and music videos to brand identity, and performance. As a producer and songwriter, his credits include Shaun Ross, Taraji P. Henson, Serpentwithfeet, Kelly Rowland, Afrojack, Tylah Yaweh, George Clinton, Duke Dumont, Tokimonsta, Kaytranada, THEY, SZA, Rochelle Jordan, Doja Cat and more.
He has two albums available on all streaming services "Transmission" and "XMSN DS" with long-time friend and collaborator Kingdom released on YoungArt/FadeToMind. His latest pursuits are in event production with his seasonal Tuesday party in DTLA Never Forget A Face which he defines as " A living altar dedicated to the queer nightlife architects that paved the way". Davis’ opened for Beyoncé to a sold-out audience at the Renaissance World Tour in August 2023. Rush is a force to be reckoned with.
Working with U.S. Embassies overseas and Foreign Missions to the United States at home in DC, Company | E's core work is to bring people and cultures together through movement, music and cross-cultural dialogue and engagement.
